Phoenix

The phoenix is a rare but powerful magical bird, able to burst into flames and be reborn from the ashes. As a result, they can live to a very old age. Resplendent in crimson and gold, phoenixes have tails as long as a peacock with feathers that glow faintly in the dark. In the wild, phoenixes can be found on mountain peaks but they can also in rare cases, be domesticated, making very loyal pets. Albus Dumbledore's pet phoenix, Fawkes demonstrated these qualities along with the ability to cure injuries with his tears and to carry huge weights.
