The art of Divination is an often divisive subject among witches and wizards, but those that do believe in it enter into an intense study of the great beyond. At Hogwarts, this lesson was taught by Professor Trelawney during Harry Potter's era, and featured several Divination practices such as dream analysis and reading tea leaves. The idea of the class is to encourage students to be able to predict the future, although Hermione Granger criticised the subject as "woolly".
