Care of Magical Creatures was a Hogwarts lesson that focused on the many different types of animals in the wizarding world, taught outside in the Hogwarts grounds. The class was usually a more practical one than some of the other subjects, where the students would often engage directly with the magical creatures, learning about their habitats, behaviours and eating habits. In Harry Potter's era, he was taught by Professor Hagrid or Professor Grubbly-Plank, and learnt about Hippogriffs, Nifflers and, for better or worse, Flobberworms.
