Number twelve, Grimmauld Place

Headquarters to the Order of the Phoenix, Number Twelve Grimmauld Place was originally the ancestral home of the Black family. A grand town house located in London, the property was protected by a Fidelius Charm, concealing its location. Invisible to Muggles, residents of Grimmauld Place assumed that the missing number 12 was an unexplained oddity of the street. Originally given to the Order by Sirius Black, the house was inhabited only by house elf, Kreacher, who saw the Order as a betrayal to his pure-blood family.
