Neville’s ability to lose, forget or break his personal possessions accompanied with his discomfort under the scrutiny of his teachers meant that he earned himself a reputation as clumsy, shy and even unintelligent. Some even questioned how he had earned his place in Gryffindor. Nevertheless, Neville managed to prove himself one of Hogwarts' bravest students again and again. Willing to stand up against both his friends and his enemies in pursuit of what was right, Neville was a student who more than any other encapsulated the Gryffindor trait of bravery, risking everything for what he believed. A keen Herbologist, Neville also proved that with the right teacher, and passion for the subject, he was far from unintelligent.
