Have we mentioned it's Back to Hogwarts season? Okay, we've maybe mentioned it one or two times. We just like to (Hogwarts) express ourselves, you know?
Anyway, today we have a new special treat for you as we get ready to usher in a brand-new Hogwarts term. We've created a selection of new Snapchat lenses for you to try out. You can try on the Sorting Hat, send the Hogwarts Express to iconic round-the-world landmarks, or embrace your inner Quidditch hero with our special Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions feature.
Here's a taster of what to expect. And psst! Always make sure to read our privacy terms, which you can find at the bottom of this page, to check if you're old enough to use stuff like this.
Quidditch Effect
Another thing we might've mentioned one or two times... Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is coming this September. The 2nd of September, to be precise. Yes, just as you've packed away your Hogwarts trunks, it's time to become a professional Quidditch player. No rest for the wicked.
To celebrate, we invite you to play our Quidditch Effect, where you can don your own Quidditch robes and see what you look like as a player. Pick which team you want to represent, your best broom, and get your game face on.
Sorting Hat
Of course, the most wonderful (or scariest, depending on your preference) thing a Hogwarts student can do on their first day of term is try on the famous Sorting Hat. Now, you can always get sorted officially here on WizardingWorld.com (of course) but with our new Snapchat filter, you can see what you'd look like actually wearing this magical piece of headwear.
Simply scan the Snapcode and you will find yourself in the Great Hall, ready to discover your Hogwarts house.
Hogwarts Express | Landmarker
And finally, we have our Landmarker lens: your opportunity to summon the Hogwarts Express to a famous landmark. From the Eiffel Tower in Paris to the Hachiko Statue in Tokyo, watch in awe as that joyful scarlet steam engine appears at some of the world's most famous cities.
This lens will work with The Eiffel Tower in Paris, Copacabana Fort in Rio, The National Gallery in London, Grand Central Terminal, and the Hachiko Statue in Tokyo.
And launching on Back to Hogwarts Day (1st September):
The Hogwarts Express Portal Lens
This extra-special rear camera Lens will put fans in the shoes of a Hogwarts student stepping off of Platform 9¾ and onto the Hogwarts Express. You’ll be able to explore the carriages and spot iconic items (fancy a Chocolate Frog?) as if you were setting off to a new school year at Hogwarts.
Be sure to try out all our Snapchat filters and lenses if you're old enough, and share the results online with the hashtag #BacktoHogwarts.
