Marauders

The Marauders were four Gryffindor boys who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew were firm friends known for their mischief making and inventive wizardry. They were the creators of the Marauder’s Map, an enchanted map of the school that showed the location of every person in Hogwarts, enabling the Marauders to move around the school without detection. The boys also taught themselves to become unregistered Animagi (the magical ability to transform into an animal) to assist Remus Lupin with his monthly Werewolf transformations. They re-named themselves Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs in honour of their animal forms.
